Do you think Big Daddy and the other goats in the herd knew he was near "full circle" and so all were moving on. We all have heard stories of Eskimos and other Indians who would abandon elderly, (or the elderly would leave on their own) that were at the end of their life - sounds cruel and a little barbaric in our modern protection (sometimes unnatural prolonging) of life but animals just have a way of living that is basic truth.
