Say hello to the newest member of our brood, Frankie the kitty. She showed up at an office in Moultrie where John was doing some work. Apparently she spent the day sleeping on his laptop. Of course, she had to come home with us. Jett was thrilled to get his first kitten. Wow, first kitten and first (small size) puppy in one month’s time. We’ve “adopted” several animals since we’ve lived here, but they’ve been full grown adults. Well, Buster and Charlie the dogs were puppies, but at 3 months they were already the size of a full-grown adult dog so that didn’t really count as far as Jett was concerned. Baby animals are required to be small.
She’s very sweet and well-behaved. I can’t say the same for Daisy and Buster when they met her. Buster went ballistic – barking, yowling and lunging. I was (and am still) afraid he’s going to eat her. I think we’re going to have a longer period of adjustment than hoped for. And of course, Daisy follows big brother Buster’s lead. And we haven’t even introduced Frankie the kitten to the 6 other cats yet. Ai. This little kitty is going to get some hazing.
Wow, what a family! I read about the canning but I’m not old enough yet. It sounds like you are really enjoying the simple life; kinda like Green Acres. Hey, I got a horse for you. John would probably leave the gate open one night so Lucky Deuce can stroll up his horse ramp to join your growing family. I’m very proud of you and John for stepping out of the norm. Holla back girl!
