Dog Days

Daisy the bulldog is in heat. She’s has an appointment to be spayed next Tuesday. Buster is not neutered. Can you guess my problem here? Luckily, they live in separate kennels, but they spend most of their free time together. Well, they did until we caught on. Now it’s separate, supervised playtime for each dog. Hopefully, it’s not too late.

I love having dogs, but two is plenty for us. And as cute as puppies are…noooooo! I can only imagine (and hopefully that’s all it will come to) what an Australian Shepherd and a Bulldog mix will look like.

  This is my attempt to document my life on 7 acres in southwest georgia with my husband, son and numerous other animals. Our goal is to grow food that hasn’t been genetically modified, altered or chemically induced; raise lots of animals; and live a more natural,(and hopefully slightly saner) life. We have never done anything like this before. Our current motto is plant the seed, water it and see what happens. As far as the garden goes, it seems to be working, but I suppose this way of thinking applies to more than just growing food.
